Hi, LPU is the best option to pursue B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture. One of my cousins graduated in this course from LPU and I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. This and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with academics at any cost. 4. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks under the supervision of the staff. 5. I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. After my research on different universities I can say that Yes, it is good for the Agriculture programme. I won't say it's the best college when compared to other government universities. LPU is the first private University in India that is ICAR accredited by ICAR. There are some private colleges in Maharashtra also which you can admission through the payment as far I listened they are not up to mark. When coming to faculty in LPU most of the faculty will be Ph.D. candidates they are good at teaching and very helpful for the students. Unlike government university's faculty's cannot skip the lectures in LPU. At the end of the semester, the faculty need to cover the skipped lectures too by conducting extra makeup classes. Research work is up to mark in LPU Placements - LPU is trying to get placements. Companies visited are Tata Rallis, NCDEX, Chanuka, smur Agro, Pragya, Reliance, etc. LPU trains you for placements by conducting placement classes. It will train you for Group discussions and personal interviews and will focus on improving your communication skills and reducing your state fear which most of the colleges do not teach you. LPU also conducts classes for the students who want to prepare for Masters from 3rd year onward. In Lpu you can do internships, jobs from the final year onward. For government university's you are allowed from 4th year. You can do a job/ internship from the 4th year itself. Diversity will be more in LPU you can make friends from almost all states and few countries too. When diversity is concerned no university in India can beat LPU. Lab and filed work are also good.
