Hi dear, Before I go ahead and talk about the achievements of LPU, I would focus on the first part of your question and answer it. To the best of my knowledge, Lovely Professional University aka LPU started with a sweets shop then called Lovely sweets, then the first academics they started with was engineering and became an Engineering college of that time. With good progress annually, LPU got the UGC-approval within 5-years and that is the most incredible thing about it. Now that it is called Lovely Professional University, it offers more than 200 courses or we can say predominantly all courses except MBBS and BDS. LPU is now a days one of the top universities of north India that provides influential education with such high-package placements. In order to get admission in LPU, one needs to fulfill the criteria first. Depending upon the type of course one gets to apply for admission process. So for as engineering is concerned, I guess the least percentage one should have is 60% in aggregate plus a student needs to qualify LPU NEST. On qualifying LPU NEST. Well, being a student of LPU I know one thing for sure that LPU is the best and worth it for engineering. Their data itself speaks that they have been giving the best to their students. Students have been placed in MNCs like Adobe, Amazon, Capgemini, cognizant, and many others. LPU has a good ranking in terms of everything and especially in engineering LPU has been ranked highly. LPU is considered in must-go universities for engineering. Every year thousands of students apply for engineering from LPU. Because why not? LPU has so many tie-ups and MOUs, accreditation, and resources. LPU has faculty members from IITs. NITs, IIITs, and mostly PhDs. And the recent placements of LPU by engineering students are- 11 students got placed in amazon with CTC up to 30LPA. Similarly, 8 LPU students are now interning with one of the world's the largest semiconductor manufacturers, Infineon, with a CTC of up to 13.75 LPA. Then 5 students bagged packages up to 20 LPA at PlaySimple.
