Is LPU good for mechanical engineering?

When it comes to choosing the best university for engineering, IIT becomes the first preference but IIT is not just the only option. Few of the other leading options for engineering are : National Institute of Engineering Lovely Professional University Thapar University UPES Dehradun College of Engineering, Pune Symbiosis Engineering College Delhi College of Engineering Among these options, I would suggest you to checkout Lovely Professional University. I have heard a lot about LPU, LPU has well qualified faculties, great infrastructure, complete placement assistance, live projects, well equipped labs and lot more. My cousin brother is pursuing B.Tech Mechanical from LPU,reviews are pretty good,He told me that the engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge. There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students.The packages varies from 3 Lakh to 12 Lakh per annum. On an average, the packages are 5 Lakh in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork.Students have got top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more. The placements at LPU keep getting better despite the ever-growing reigns of the pandemic, while the other institutions are still shaken by the soaring effects of the coronavirus outbreak.

Hi, Yes, Indeed its a good course to go. I have heard a lot of good reviews about this course and everytime my friends talking about go kart championship. According to the portal Pay scale - Salary Comparison, Salary Survey, Search Wages, the average salary of mechanical engineers falls below Rs. 3.4 Lacs per annum. The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics, Chemistry and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. He should have the ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire the Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using a basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer, and Fluid Mechanics. He should demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimised solutions using simulated environments of Computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering.
