Hi, Mechanical engineering is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering from design to manufacturing to the marketplace for any object. Mechanical engineers analyze their work using the principles of motion, energy, and forceensuring that designs function safely, efficiently, and reliably, all at a competitive cost. National Institute of Engineering
Lovely Professional University
Thapar University
UPES Dehradun
College of Engineering, Pune
Symbiosis Engineering College
Delhi College of Engineering
Among these options, I would suggest you to checkout Lovely Professional University. I have heard a lot about LPU, LPU has well qualified faculties, great infrastructure, complete placement assistance, live projects, well equipped labs and lot more.

My cousin brother is pursuing B.Tech Mechanical from LPU,reviews are pretty good,He told me that the engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni.
School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present.
The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc.
Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals.
Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge.
There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students.The packages varies from 3 Lakh to 12 Lakh per annum.
On an average, the packages are 5 Lakh in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork.Students have got top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more.

Mechanical Engineering is a highly dynamic programme, it requires the university/college to upgrade its curriculum as per industry which changes really fast. Very few universities have recognised this and developed the systems to inculcate this important point. Only LPU and to some extent thapar and PEC in northern part of India have been able to do it. There is no parameter in which LPU can be beaten by any other private university, usually I evaluate on parameters such as:
1. Industry consulted curriculum
2. Teaching pedagogy
3. Centers of excellence
4. Professional etiquette
5. Student and faculty diversity
