Is LPU is providing hostel facility to students?

Hi there, Well, being an existing scholar at LPU, it is a pleasure to answer such queries regarding LPU. YES, LPU does provide a nice residential facility to students as well as to the staff. I have stayed in LPU-hostels for 4 years and that has been an amazing experience of my life. The environment over there is quite over-whelming and healthy. To the best of my own experience, I feel the life at LPU hostels is happening and mesmerizing. The first and most important thing is that hostels are least distant from the block where classes are conducted. The second thing, you get to utilize library till late night upto 12 AM and during exams upto 2 AM. One gets to participate in inter-hostel cultural activities which are all fun. Moreover the security thing is the best out of everything I have experienced. The rooms are good and wardens are very humble. The water facility is very nice and everything one needs in also available. The departmental store in inside the hostel and remains open till 12 AM. I feel one must choose to stay in LPU hostels rather than staying in an outside PG. Hope this helps. Thanks.

The hostels of LPU are very well managed and are one of the safest residential place for a student to live in. With 4000+ CCTV cameras and more than 400 security persons, LPU has zero tolerance towards ragging or any other unlawful activities. In my opinion one should stay in hostel of LPU because those hostels are maintained quiet well. There are many benefits of staying in hostel. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. So you cannot sneak out unnecessary from your hostels. Entry of boys is strictly prohibited in girls hostel and vice versa. Entry in boys hostel after 8 pm is restricted and is allowed only after consulting the warden. The hostel has many variants. You can opt for Single seater, 2 seater, 4 seater or 6 seater depending upon the availability of the same. If you have any problem with your room partner then you can report your concern to the warden. If you reason is genuine then your room might be changed. One more advantage of staying in LPU hostel is that you get 24x7 library access. LPU offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. There are more than 43 Lacs books and e-books on all subject fields. Library system subscribes number of journals, magazines and newspapers. The rooms are cleaned after every two days and infrastructure of hostel is very well constructed with all the amenities a student may require. I hope I have answered your concern!

Yes, LPU provides hostel facilities to its students. I have discussed with a few alumni of LPU who told me many things about the LPU hostel. Let me share a few of them Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination: Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exist there. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess: Honestly I won't lie about the mess at the campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like a mess. You don't have to worry at all about the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Domino's, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym: There are so many places at Campus for outdoor games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you'll have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. Personal Experience: Getting bored is not an option at LPU because you'll be busy with your classes for more than half of the day and other time with habits and passion if your a passionate follower and If not you'll become one before you leave LPU. Here you'll find many like that! After getting free from all this then you'll barely have some time with your hostel mates or roommates but still they will always remain an integral part of your life. Yes, LPU does provide hostels to students that are so secure and there are so many restrictions on students. Like day scholars and outsiders are not allowed in hostels for security purposes. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : 1) LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. As I myself had gone through the same phase a couple of years back. I can feel the excitement in people who are looking forward to starting their hostel life in Lovely Professional University. Many of you might be very curious about the look and interior of the hostel. I stayed in LPU hostel during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. Being a Alumni of Lovely Professional University I can assure you that this university is the safest for the girls. The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. I was staying with one more roommates. The rooms will be of two types-Air conditioned and Air cooler.2 Seater hostels rooms has 2 iron B.Ed,2Plastic Chair,2 almirah, geyser with attached washroom. Our rooms were spacious, gave us privacy and also gave us space to hangout with friends and chit chat, do projects, spend movie nights and game on! Apart from this they are providing other facilities also- Free internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only. In Campus Physiotherapy Clinic and Hospital with resident doctors and ambulances to provide medical assistance to students. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/Geyser/Air cooler). 24 hours security. Laundry Services (optional on payment basis) hygienic and nutritious vegetarian meals (optional) Hostel counsellors ( solve the problems of students in context of family issues, studies, home sickness etc. ) Laundry facility Gym facility to remain fit. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. Indoor and outdoor games facility. There are so many places at Campus for out door games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you will have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. You will get each and every facility inside the campus like Study room, TV room, salon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility, so why to move out. You can't carry alcohol and smoking products inside the campus and hostels.
