Is LPU (lovely professional University) a good college for B.Tech in mechanical engineering or should wait for UPTU results?

Question

Sampreet Kaur · Answer

LPU can be considered for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, but if your UPTU results are expected soon, waiting for them before making a final decision would be sensible. Compare the colleges you may get through UPTU with LPU in terms of total fees, workshop facilities, practical training, industry exposure and placement opportunities. Mechanical engineering involves hands on learning, so access to labs and real projects matters as much as classroom teaching. Also, check the placement records for mechanical students rather than relying only on the university's overall package figures. Keep LPU as an option until you have compared the available choices carefully.

Arshia Singh · Answer

Yes, Lovely Professional University is a good choice for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. The programme offers modern labs, workshops, industry projects, internships, and practical training, helping students gain strong technical and hands-on skills. The university also provides placement support and industry exposure to prepare students for their careers. If Mechanical Engineering is your preferred branch, LPU can be a solid option because of its infrastructure, learning environment, and career opportunities. You can compare it with your UPTU results once they are announced, but LPU itself is a reputable choice for Mechanical Engineering.

Every field has evolved into a distinct branch. These are some of the questions that make me think that mechanical engineering has become a grandparent of engineering and might have lost its charm. You might agree or disagree with this. Employment of mechanical engineers is projected to grow 5 percent through 2024, while some other engineering focuses will SEE higher employment growth and some will SEE lower or no growth, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. This associate degree job averages a salary of $55,610. Further to advise one, I believe LPU is one of the best Institute that offers B.Tech in various programs such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. Some of the benefits are: 1. LPU has 600+ acres of campus in Punjab and more than 25000+ students study there among many countries. 2. A-one infrastructure- All the facilities are available on the campus. You no need to go outside in case of any need such as food, hospital, indoor/Outdoor sports stadium, etc. 3. Highly qualified faculty. Many specializations are provided by the CSE department such as AI, ML, Cloud Computing, Data Science, etc. 4. Every year more than 90% of students placed for the CSE branch in many MNCs such Amazon, Code Nation, Infineon, etc. 5. LPU provides many scholarships for bright and innovative students. The following rankings are achieved by LPU recently. Impact Ranking 2021: LPU is ahead of all the participating IITs and NITs Placement Record of Mechanical Engineering of LPU are : 12 LPA (Clicklabs) was the highest salary package In 2019,. 90% Students got placed till date. 4.8 LPA is the average salary package of the Batch.
