The LPU Mechanical school has well-qualified and experienced faculty members with specializations in various fields like Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering, Machine Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Some of the features I will highlight:

Yes, LPU (Lovely Professional University) is worthwhile for a mechanical engineering programme in terms of academics and placements so, I recommend you to choose LPU. I did M.Tech in EE and my friend did B.Tech in Mechanical from LPU itself. So, I would like to share a few details of mechanical engineering with you. The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics, and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)
The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. Every field has evolved into a distinct branch. These are some of the questions that make me think that mechanical engineering has become a grandparent of engineering and might have lost its charm. My brother has completed B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, his experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. He told me, Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are always ready to help the students.
During the exams, professors arrange special classes for the students to help them revise better and clear their doubts. A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. Lovely Professional University provides several programs that include B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons. ), a dual degree programme for B.Tech and M.Tech and B.Tech and MBA and integrated programs like B.Tech and MBA and B.Tech and M.Tech. Here at LPU, you can get enrolled in any stream as per your interest and choice. Every year many students join the various engineering courses that are offered by LPU. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technology Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU).
