Dear Ansh, Yes, LPU offers law courses from a UG level to a doctorate level. My friend did B.A. LL.B. From LPU and is now working in a law firm. The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and its curriculum is also provided by BCI and in order to make students top-to-date and the latest trends in the field of law, the School of Law takes initiatives to modify the curriculum as and when the need arises. Students have undergone internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses and NGOs. The Alumni's are working as Judicial officers, Legal practitioners and Corporate advisors and Civil servants. In addition to this, MOOT court sessions are also provided to experience the scenario of courts. A Few of the Salient Features of programme are: BCI Approved Curriculum: Curriculum is in accordance with Bar Council of India (BCI) norms. Workshops: Workshops/Seminars on computer applications and client interaction is an important aspect of the curriculum. Visits: Practical exposure through Moot Courts, District Court and Legal Aid Clinics visit. Professional Enhancement: In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Competitive Examinations: The curriculum is designed to facilitate students in preparing for various competitive examinations. International Exposure Option: Students may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country. The Law Department at LPU is one of the first departments that came up when LPU was taking its shape. According to the NIRF ranking, the Law School is ranked 24th. The vision of the school is studying by books is not a rule of Law. The course aims at preparing the students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. Creation of well-trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. It also aims at nurturing a graduate with in-depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation, and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants. Law students are prepared to spot legal issues from a set of hypothetical facts and brainstorm various legal consequences, to be perfect legal professionals. The courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. The Career guidance magazine Higher Education Review has recognised Law School at Lovely Professional University among the top-ten most promising institutions of India for its capability of producing next-gen legal professionals. The eligibility criteria for the course is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. For SC ST applicants there is 5 percent relaxation while there is 3 percent relaxation for the OBC candidates. In addition to it, for North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants, ) there is 5 percent relaxation. The LPU students were invited by Punjab Police for an internship where they were taught the nuances of investigation. The university has an MOU with NLSIU Bangalore for various academic programs. As per my knowledge, the law programmes in LPU are approved by Bar Council of India, School of Law is one of the best Law colleges in India and Punjab. To get direct admission B.A. LL.B. In Top Colleges, you should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. Intermediate passed candidates can apply for an integrated course in law. The selection of the candidates is offered through written tests and interviews. But it varies from University to University. One of the pros of pursuing B.A. LL.B. Is the learning opportunities that prepare you to pursue a law profession in the corporate sector. Corporate sectors also include various distinguished law firms as well, where a graduate may receive a lucrative package. Although there are various Universities that offer this course, But I must advise one can go for University that offers this course with varies exposure, I. e. Lovely Professional University. For taking admission in LPU, students need to qualify in LPU NEST Exam. LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility & Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a National Level test conducted by LPU in Online Proctored mode this year.
