Is LPU prepare to confront the recent COVID-19 Outbreak? What measures they are taking to tackle it? Should I take Admission there?

Hi, It would be a good choice to opt for LPU as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all-round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. The protection of students and educational facilities is particularly important in this grim situation. The vast infra structure and the faculty strength would enable social distancing norms to be followed in spirit. LPU would make sure the workplaces are clean and hygienic, surfaces (e. g. desks and tables) and objects (e. g. telephones, keyboards) would be wiped with disinfectant regularly Because contamination on surfaces touched by staff and students is one of the main ways that COVID-19 spreads. LPU has already put sanitizing hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the workplace and makes sure these dispensers are regularly refilled This is combined with other communication measures such as offering guidance from occupational health and safety officers, briefings at meetings, and information on intranet sites to promote hand-washing LPU ensures that face masks or paper tissues are available for those who develop a runny nose or cough at work, along with closed bins for hygienically disposing masks an tissues. So LPU encourages regular hand-washing LPU encourages participants to cover their face with the bend of their elbow or a tissue if they cough or sneeze and supply tissues and closed bins for disposal. LPU would display dispensers of alcohol-based hand rub prominently around the venue. For admission If there is space, LPU would arrange seats so that participants are at least 1 meter apart. Open windows and doors whenever possible to make sure the venue is well ventilated. If anyone who starts to feel unwell, the campus hospital will be contacted immediately. Hence the availability of masks, tissues, sanitizers would be the priority of LPU keeping in mind the social distancing measures Simple precautions and planning can make a big difference. Educational institutions were being shut down, to keep up the momentum and motivation in the virtual world, LPU has been engaging its student and staff remotely through online platforms and has taken many initiatives during the COVID 19, to have a lesser impact on student education and career. 1. Fully online application and admission process - From filling up of registration form to conducting the entrance test, including the interview process everything is online. 2. Online Payment - LPU provides online methods for payment, it can be done through credit card/Debit card /online bank transfer/ UPI. 3. Online Classes- Major problem faced by students during this pandemic was the cancelling or delaying of examination but LPU stood out from other universities and institutes in conducting timely examination and declaring results Placements - One of the major highlights of LPU is that they kept pace with placements even during the covid crisis. With more than 600 companies visiting every year, LPU made sure that Covid-19 does not affect the career of students. Online Classes- Major problem faced by students during this pandemic was the cancelling or delaying of examination but LPU stood out from other universities and institutes in conducting timely examination and declaring results The deadly coronavirus outbreak which has taken the entire world by storm has also impacted the education sector and particularly students a lot as schools, colleges and universities have been shut, various exam has been postponed or cancelled. To ensure the safety of the students and the teachers, the government had ordered all educational institutes in India to remain closed until March 31, 2020. Keeping that in consideration, Lovely Professional University has begun virtual classes for the students which they can attend from the comfort of their home or the hostels. LPU is also conducting proper, needed temperature and other related check-ups for every person who enters the campus. All the schools, staff rooms and cabins at LPU are being sanitised. The Chancellor of LPU, Ashok Mittal mentioned that to engage the students and to make up for the loss of study time during this period, they have resorted to online classes. LPU plans to continue teaching through online lectures, video calls and presentations during this time of lockdown. Many final year students are yet to join the companies where they got placed earlier and this break from studies due to the lockdown can impact them so for their benefit also, LPU has adopted this model of virtual classes. Hi, There are multiple measures taken at the University to ensure safety and security during COVID times so just leave your worries behind. They include :- CAMPUS PREPAREDNESS: Temperature and other checks at entrance points of the university. All the members of faculty and staff are required to follow the COVID-19 related policies and requirements as stated by State/ Central Government. Additional measures include: Regular Cleaning & Disinfecting of workspace. Restrictive entry in the campus for all outsiders. 24X7 medical and health support through in-house Campus Hospital. Work from home option given to members having any health concerns. INITIATIVES IN RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES: To ensure the safety of students who would be residing in hostels, university has planned following initiatives: Regular Thermal scans for every individual entering the hostel premises. Respiratory Masks to be worn by everyone at the time of leaving the room. Sanitation of hostel rooms and other infrastructure facilities like common rooms etc. Including play areas as per government. Norms Timing of consuming food in the Hostel mess to be staggered to ensure social distancing norms. Option of packed food and room service is also being explored. Well the admission process of LPU has already started. Due to the rise in the daily cases of Covid-19 in different parts of the country, many state governments have put various restrictions to curb the spread of the virus. Considering the scenario of restricted movement and keeping the focus on the safety of the candidates, LPU extends the option of Online Remotely Proctored LPU NEST exam from home. The remotely proctored exam will be monitored live through various Artificial Intelligence tools and by the invigilators.
