LPU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Council of Architecture (COA) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). LPU's School of Agriculture is accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). ICAR: It stands for Indian Council for Agricultural Research and B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics &amp; Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous body responsible for coordinating agricultural education and research in India. Yes, LPU is a recognised university under section 2f of UGC Act in the year 2005. I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute. The school of Agriculture was approved for accreditation for a period of five years with a GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programs were approved for accreditation for a period of five years B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture with GPAP of 3.72 M.Sc. Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science)} with GPAP of 3.75 M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy) with GPAP of 3.60 M.Sc.
