UGC has recognized LPU. As far as I know, any college or institute cannot become a university without the approval of the UGC. LPU is accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India and is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the Council of Architecture (COA) in India (PCI). It's a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). LPU is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) (ACU).
