Is LPU University good for gaming and VFX course?

Hello,As an Alumni of the Multimedia Department of LPU, I would like to recommend LPU for Gaming and VFX. My specialisation is also visual effects and motion graphics and LPU taught us really good. The faculty members are from industry like NID, red chilies Studios, Prime focus studios and they have experience of more than 15 years. It is 98 percent practical oriented programme LPu Provides degrees of 3 and 4 years after 10+ 2 a and 2 years after graduation B.Sc ( Multimedia), Graphics or gaming ( 3 years) Design ( Multimedia), Graphics or gaming ( 4 years) M.Sc. ( Multimedia)- 2years M. Design ( Multimeda)- 2years In 4 years degree B.Sc. ( Multimedia ) you can take VFX as a specialisation in last year and for gaming you can take either B.Sc. Or design in gaming. Infrastructure: Multimedia department has separate block and has well-equipped labs with dell workstations to handle high end software's like adobe after effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Nuke, Fusion, Z brush, photoshop, etc. Even department has good quality of resources like Black magic cinemas cameras, canon cameras, trolly, jib and well-equipped special VFX studio with permanent Chroma backgrounds. Placements are also great. This year also my friends and juniors who got placed in companies like Amazon, rockstar games, Kony India, Xentrix studios etc. With average packages of 5 Lacs per annum.

LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech labs and dedicated MAC lab for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it.

Hi, Lovely Professional University provides better opportunities in Multimedia Gaming and Graphics. There is a separate School of Design for the Programmes of Multimedia and Design. This Department has well-equipped labs with high-end workstations and it has gaming studios also where students can play and test the games on play station, PC, and x box platform. The faculty is highly qualified. Various companies visit LPU for the recruitment like Kony India, Amazon ( as 3d Artist), Rockstar Games, Xentrix studio, Dq entertainment, Prime focus, Green gold animation, etc. With maximum packages of 8 LPA and average packages are 5 LPA. Hi Ashish, Gaming and VFX is totally a practical and professional degree. As, media industry is growing gradually in the aspects. These courses are climbing the stairs of demand day by day. LPU offers B.Design in gaming, which is a 4-year programme, the cutting edge course. By the gestation period of 4 years, LPU is producing the Industry ready products. I heard many of their students are already working as a freelancer with many production houses as there are many production houses in the Punjab now. You can say, LPU and their students are grabbing this as an opportunity to enhance the practice on workstations. I must say that LPU is a perfect institute for Animation and Multimedia. The biggest strength of LPU in this course is, they have made professionally skilled faculty members available.

As per my experience it depends on your showreel and skills. There are many courses of animation in india and few places are doing really great. I have done my Masters in multimedia from lovely professional university LPU provides 6 Degrees in BachelorsB.Sc. ( Multimedia) 3 yearsB.Sc. ( Gaming) 3 yearsB.Sc. ( Graphics) 3 yearsB. design ( Multimedia) 4 yearsB. design ( Gaming) 4 yearsB. design ( Graphics)4 years and two course in MastersM. design ( Multimedia). M.Sc. (Multimedia). First of all, There is separate Department Called Multimedia which comes under school of design III. This Department has well-equipped labs with high end workstations and it has gaming studios also where students can play and test the games on play station, PC and x box platform. Multimedia students of LPU has campus placements in companies like Amazon ( as 3d Artist), Rockstar games, Kony India, xentrix studio, Dq entertainment, Prime focus, Green gold animation and so on with maximum packages of 8 Lacs per annum and average packages are 5 Lacs per annum. After b. design in multimedia and graphics and even Masters degrees also. Faculty members are well experienced and specialised and everyone from industry having More than 8 to 10 years of experience in their respective field. Everyone is so helpful and good mentors. Reality is LPU is always give platform of placement to students even they give soft skills and personality development classes also so students of creative field also do well in presentations of their work and designs.
