It's not mandatory that to get admission to LPU, you have to give LPU NEST exam. There are various programmes in which you can get admission to LPU without LPU NEST such as B.A. BBA BCA B.Sc. M.A. Etc. However, for BBA (Hons. ), B.Tech, Law, M.A. etc. , the LPU NEST exam is compulsory.

It depends from course to course if a student is interested in courses like B.Tech, agriculture or MBA. If yes then LPU NEST is mandatory but in that also, if the student has qualified national level exams and fulfilled the requirements of the university then there is no need to appear for LPU NEST
