After ECE, it won't be very helpful much. You may have to change career line completely. You can pursue any specialisation in Design like Product, Transport etc. But it totally depends on you. If you are ready for such a change then it will be a good choice.

Candidates having M.Des degree can work as designers in automobile and mechanical engineering companies. Automobile designer, Ware house designer, ceramic designer, PUE designer, quality control designer are some of the designer jobs available in these companies. Companies like BMW, Volkswagon, Hero cycles, Eureka forbes, SIDBI, FICCL gives huge salary packages for the designer post. Other jobs available in these companies for the candidates having M.Des degree are given below. Computer Aided Industrial Design (CAD) engineer Graphics engineer Computer Aided Design (CAD) engineer Textile companies are also offering several jobs for the M.Des graduates. Embroidery designers, Fabric analyzer, Fabric Resource Manager, Textile Designers and Textile Laboratory Managers are some of the jobs available in the Textile industry.
