There are some similarities in M.A. and M.Ed. Both are two year course. Both can be done only after graduation. However, similarity ends here. M.Ed. can be pursued only after completing B.Ed. (A two year programme). On the other hand M.A. can be pursued after completing B.A. (three year degree course). There are plenty of subjects in which one can do graduation and even more subjects in which one can do Master of Arts or M.A.
So strictly speaking M.Ed. and M.A. both appear to be post graduate courses are as different as chalk from cheese even though are two year course. One can complete M.A. in two years after graduation but it w

While M.A. (Education) deals with advanced teaching in theoretical subjects, M.Ed concentrates on the practical side of teaching. Both an M.A. (Education) and an M.Ed will be regarded as equivalent degrees for the appointment of Assistant Professor under a recent Supreme Court decision. Through learner-centered pedagogies, skill-enhancement outreach initiatives, mentoring, application-based research, and access to both offline and online learning resources, the LPU School of Education fosters innovation in order to help students develop their insight and imagination and become devoted educators and teachers.

M.Ed (Masters in Education) and MA (Masters in Arts)- Both are the Master's course for candidates who have completed their Bachelor degree from a recognized college. M.Ed and MA courses are of two years but in M.Ed, they learn about teaching methods, about education system, ways of expressing your thoughts in an easy way for the children. In MA, they learn about a single subject in depth. So, M.Ed and MA is quite similar and quite different. But M.Ed is done only when students have completed their Masters in arts or from any other course with at least qualifying marks. Yes, one can get admission in B.Ed after completing Masters in arts

    Hi,
Degree of Masters Education (M. Ed) is a professional Degree and not equivalent to Degree of Masters of Arts. Since, A (Education) is Master of Arts, it is not equivalent to M.Ed. Therefore, those Ed degree holders has to better go in their professional course in place of Academic course. Yes, you can apply for B.Ed after MA in education. Thanks.
