Both NSIT (now NSUT) and DTU are premier, Tier-1 engineering colleges in Delhi. NSIT often has a slight edge in CS/IT placements and a smaller, more focused batch size, while DTU offers a stronger brand name, better, more extensive alumni network, and a larger campus experience.

NSIT and DTU are popular Engineering colleges ranked by NIRF. DTU is ranked at 30 under the 'Engineering' category whereas NSIT is ranked at 70. The total tuition fees for BTech is INR 5.3 Lacs - INR 7.4 Lacs at DTU. The fees is less in NSIT for BTech - INR 4 lakh-INR 4.5 lakh.
