    Hi,
A lot depends on your career choice. If you are interested in a teaching profession you can go for an M.A. In economics and then a Ph.D. which would make you a professor in a college besides other job profiles like: Economist. Consultant. Professor. Policy Analyst. Budget Analyst. Market Researcher. Data Scientist. Statistician. If you are interested in mass communication, it would a good choice as the world is of media today. On the other hand, application of media concepts and research tools effectively and efficiently to handle various assignments in the world of mass media. It's a good choice. But, in my opinion, why don't you do MBA if you did BA Economics ( Honours )? Just think over it. Best of luck for future !

To do M.A. Journalism, you must have done B.A. In the same stream. Since you are basically from Economics, you are not applicable for M.A. Journalism. Candidates who have completed graduation degree in Journalism from a recognised university are eligible. Hope it helps.

If you are interested in mass communication and having good skill or ready to learn that skill into yourself than you'll enjoy. Go for it. You can do M.A. Economics too which has good scope.

Yes, since you studied economics honors, you can specialize in mass communication with an economics focus and become a proficient mass communicator of economic affairs. Yes, that's a great choice, but you can better grasp it if you start with an undergraduate course. Although as a backup plan you can also opt for Ph.D. and in the teaching field. Go ahead, all the best.

Yes, it is a good choice. Master of Arts in Mass Communication (MAMC) is post-graduate course offered in the domain of mass media at university-level in India. The course focuses on ideas and outlets of mass communication such as media production, cultural issues, communication theories, regulations and media techniques.
