According to NIRF 2023, Madras University is rated 50th for Universities and 65th for Overall. As of right present, the placement statistics for the 2023 drive are not available. But the NIRF report 2023 is made public. In the University of Madras placements 2022, 440 PG (2 years) and 5 PG (3 years) students were placed, according to the report. For PG students enrolled for two and three years, the median package was INR 3.60 LPA and INR 4.20 LPA, respectively.
