Is Mailam Engineering College good?

<p>Mailam Engineering College located in Villupuram provides a fairly good educational setting particularly when it comes to infrastructure, acquisition of technical skills and job placements. The college premises are beautiful and climate friendly containing amenities such as libraries, computer centers and many others. However, several students have raised complaints about the type of food served in the canteen as well as in the hostel? When it comes to placements, the institution is known to do quite well especially in areas of study such as Computer Science and Electronics. Places such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, et cetera do come to the campus for recruitment and the average package offered close to around INR 3.5 Lacs per year. Core engineering branches such as Mechanical and Civil Engineering have relatively lower packages, which are usually in the range of INR 2.5 Lacs per annum.</p>
