Is Manipal College of Dental Science a private or government institute?

No. You have to score 500+ marks in NEET exam to pursue the BDS you can get private college in these numbers but government seat is not available in these numbers.

Manipal College of Dental Sciences offers seat to candidates in MDS programme based on NEET-PG score. Candidates must also meet the eligibility criteria for admission. After passing the entrance exam, aspirants need to register and provide their choice on MCC Portal. Selected aspirants are offered seat in the college via online counselling and seat allotment. 

Manipal College of Dental Sciences offers two-year MDS course at the UG level. Aspirants with a BDS degree can apply for any of the MDS specialisations. Below are some of the MDS specialisations offered at MCODS Manipal:

MAHE Manipal offers scholarships to students pursuing a course from Manipal College of Dental Sciences. Students pursuing BDS course can apply for The Kalam - Pai, Freeship & Scholars Scholarship. Students need to complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology to apply for the scholarship. 

MDS students can apply for PG Merit Scholarship. Students who have completed BDS degree from an institutions/ university recognised by the Dental Council of India can apply for the scholarship.

Students pursuing MDS course from Manipal College of Dental Sciences can opt for PG merit scholarship. Candidates need to complete BDS degree from an institution/ university recognised by the Dental Council of India for MDS scholarship. The award ofscholarship for the subsequent years is the same as given, at the time of admission in the first year. Scholarship is extended for the subsequent year only to those students who qualifies in the year-end examinations
as per NMC.
