Yes, math is a very important part of the CAT exam. The CAT paper has a separate section for Quantitative Aptitude. In this section, questions based on topics of mathematics are asked. The topics asked about are as follows:
1. Ratios and proportion
2. Trigonometry
3. Geometry
4. Number system
5. Time and Speed & distance
6. Percentages
7. Square and cube roots
8. Algebra
9. Profit and Loss
10. Probability
11. Mean, Medium and Mode
12. Simple Interest and Compound Interest etc. To improve your accuracy in mathematics, you should practice as many questions as possible. -
Yes, in the Quantitative Aptitude section you will get questions from arithmetic, Algebra, and geometry. Questions are based on 10th-level mathematics, but if you have knowledge about class 11th and class 12th level mathematics, then you will get an advantage over it. All the very best:).
