Hi, The Eligibility Criteria at LPU is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST^. ^LPUNEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2. So, if you haven't done maths but Biology or Biotech in 12th, you will be eligible. So, effectively Maths in 12th is not compulsory. DDVD.

    Hello!
With best of my knowledge, Maths is not mandatory to pursue this course. There is an option to have either Maths or Biology. Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field that includes biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, and others. It includes technological applications that require living organisms, and biological systems to develop specific processes or to make products. New biotechnological inventions or products that we hear in our day to day life encourage students to study biotechnology. A lot of courses of undergraduate and postgraduate are available in this stream like Bachelors, Masters, B.Tech, M.Tech

Yes, maths is needed because you need to use the basic principles of maths in your biotechnology and may be some colleges even have maths in biotechnology. But still some colleges accept even without mathematics.
