Hi, The Eligibility Criteria at LPU is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST^. ^LPUNEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE M

Maths is not mandatory to pursue this course. There is an option to have either Maths or Biology. Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field that includes biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, and others. So it's yours choice take maths or bio.

Yes, maths is needed because you need to use the basic principles of maths in your biotechnology and may be some colleges even have maths in biotechnology. But still some colleges accept even without mathematics.
