    You cannot appear for JEE Mains exam if you don't opt for maths in HSC. None of the good engineering colleges will accept you if you don't have maths. Mathematics is very important for pursuing engineering, regardless of branch.

    Mathematics is compulsory to pursue engineering and you can even appear for engineering entrance exams like JEE if you don't know mathematics. So, mathematics is mandatory in engineering.

    Yes, it is, but in this branch, if you don't want to pursue Master's degree then you have one provision that maths subject will be there for 2 years only and then you don't need to study that further.
