Not actually. In Karnataka specially you can do your 12th in Computer Science,Economics,Business Studies and Accountancy (CEBA). Once you complete your 12th you can apply for BCA and it's actually a better way to study.

    Dear,
It is preferable but not mandatory. In West Bengal, under MAKAUT affiliated Institutes previously you could pursue BCA, provided you completed your +2 with any one of of Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Computer Application as compulsory subject with others. But now they allow candidates for BCA only those who have 50% or above in H.S from any stream. But some Institutes in India , the eligibility criteria is Mathematics as compulsory subject in +2 level.
    Best wishes.

No, there is no such rule of maths or computer science being mandatory in class 12th for admission into BCA course. Furthermore, the only criterion required to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50%.
    All the best.

    Hi,
There is no need of having maths as a subject in class 12th and you can very easily apply for a BCA course. There is a wide range of institute or universities allow the students to get BCA admissions as a regular subject they passed in class 12th without Maths the main subject. Best of luck.

No, in most of the colleges it is not mandatory to study these two subjects in your +2, but for top colleges and universities, a candidate must have studied these two subjects. Infact, it is highly recommended that you should study these two subjects in your +2 because your BCA is mainly based on these two subjects.

No, maths is not mandatory but it is highly recommended.
If you are going to pursue BCA as Bachelor degree then the maths and computer Science will help you a lot because most of the things you'll study same in BCA. Maths syllabus is same and also you'll learn few same things in BCA that will help you in gaining more experienced and more knowledgeable.
