    AMU is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities), and its courses are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is accredited by the NAAC with an A+ Grade. Aligarh Muslim University is ranked 8th by NIRF 2024 under the Universities category. AMU University is also ranked 1001-1200 by the QS World University Rankings 2025.
