Automobile engineering is a core area and MBA is generalized area. It depends on how you choose your career.
Anyways MBA will be valued only when you have exposure and experience. So have some experience in the area you want to specialize and start your MBA so that it will be additional qualificat

MBA is good for all, especially if you're an automobile engineer then it is very good for you because as an engineer you always need of management having management skills helps you to achieve organization objective.

MBA is definitely good for you as you can do your specialization in operations management and this will give a boast to your career graph and prove beneficial for you so you should definitely go for an MBA.
