Under the direction of the Indian government's Ministry of AYUSH, the National Institute of Ayurveda is the highest level autonomous institution. Academic programmes are currently offered by NIA at all levels, including undergraduate (BAMS), graduate (MD/MS in Ayurveda), postgraduate (PhD in Ayurveda), and Diploma (DAN&P). Furthermore, NIA is the only university in the Ayurvedic field to provide six multidisciplinary M.Sc. programmes.
