Yes — for many people, MBBS is overhyped.
Why it's hyped:
Social pressure (“doctor = success”)
Job security image
Respect + stable income (eventually)
Reality check:
5.5+ years study + long specialization
High stress, long hours, delayed earnings
ROI is slow unless you specialize or go abroad

No MBBS/medical is not an overhyped career option, as we all SEE during corona period who helped us, doctors or the students who are in there final year of UG amd and in there internship period. This is the industry which will always grows.

In a country like India, being a doctor is directly linked with being successful and at the top of your game.
