    Hey Krishan,
    Yeah definitely government sector opens up for lot many mechanical engineer vacancies. Generally it is believed that Mechanical, ECE/EEE engineers have lot of options in government sector. So you can proceed with that. Also as govt sector is not an easy nut to crack you should also be focusing on a good university to study. It helps a lot. Some suggested universities -
