Is Mechanical engineering degree institute & college equivalent to PG/UG/M.tech for AMIE Mechanical completed ?

Except for faculty positions in Colleges and Schools, Mechanical Engineering AMIE is considered equivalent to B Tech. AMIE is a voluntary professional membership offered by Institution of Engineers(India) and is not considered as a distance education programme.
