Is merchant navy as a career a good option for a girl?
I am a travel freak & want to travel the world. Also, I want to do something for the country but is not sure if I should or not pursue merchant navy as I have heard that it has now become very difficult to get a job in a good company. Also, I am doubtful about height and weight requirements.

Yes, merchant navy is the best option after maritime engineering, because here you are getting your career as well as money and visa to visit the whole world. If you want to live a different life other than normal, then come and join merchant navy.

I will suggest you to do B.Tech in marine engineering from any fine institution. My maternal uncle's son completed his B.Tech in marine engineering from Maritime Institute-Kolkata, now he is earning 3.5 Lacs per month. So I will suggest you to go for this.
