No, MHT CET is not compulsory for architecture courses. However, If you want to take admitted to the Bachelor of architecture then you have to give JEE Main paper 2, NATA exam and For Maharashtra architecture admission you have to give the Bachelor of Architecture CET. NATA is conducted by the COA (Council of Architecture) for admission to the first year of a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree course at all recognised institutions all over the country.
