MIt Pune outperforms Dy Patil Akurdi in terms of placement, average package, and reputation.so Mit Pune is clearly the better option. Both universities are excellent for engineering students. It totally Depends on what stream you are planning to choose. Now coming to your question, as far as placement is concerned it totally depends on two main factors:

Performance of Student in academics
Demand in Industry
