Daer Dhurgaa, there's no such direct requirement of knowledge of animation for engineering industry however this is an industry that touches every shore no matter it is engineering, medical or business. Animation and VFx is currently one of the fastest growing field and offers great future with consistent growth. Durghaa, Multimedia and Animation is not specifically linked to engineering. It is about learn to design visual communications, and is equally useful to all fields. It is a field of opportunity in itself. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. This is a field where nobody cares for your qualification, they only see if you can do quality work. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously).
