No, the National Aptitude Test for Architecture NATA is not necessary for an interior design course in India. NATA is an entrance examination for architecture courses, not for an interior design course. National Aptitude Test for Architecture Colleges offers architectural design in housing, regional, industrial, environmental, transport, landscape, and so on. However, if you want to do an interior design course, you have to write the CEPT, AIEED SEED UID, IIAD, NID, GD Goenka, Pearl Academy Entrance Exam, etc.

It depends upon the college. So please write about the college name for better response. However, NATA or JEE Main Paper-2 scores are enough for Interior design course admission. But most of the private colleges does not require NATA/ JEE Main Paper-2 scores. These colleges can give admission on the basis of their own entrance test or Merit.
