No, candidates applying for MBBS course at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences have to qualify NEET. However, mere qualifying the entrance exam does not guarantee admission. Aspirants also need to fulfil the eligibility requirements. The final merit released by the university is based on NEET rank and Class 12 score of the candidates.
