    Selection: No, NEET is not necessary to secure admission in veterinary college. Admission to most veterinary colleges is on the basis of results obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the concerned universities. Veterinary Council of India conducts an 'All India Common Entrance examination' (AICEE) for admission to first year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) & Animal Husbandry (AH) degree course for filling up 15% of the total number of seats of each veterinary college of all states; about 36 colleges where Indian Veterinary council Act, 1984 extends.     Taking NEET for Veterinary is not mandatory. However, better opportunities await for those who take it since many renowned colleges accept NEET scores for Veterinary admisison.

    Candidates can check such colleges which accept only NEET scores in the table below.

The Chemistry section of NEET is divided into three sub-sections: Physical, Organic and Inorganic. The least number of questions are from Physical Chemistry. Inorganic and Organic Chemistry chapters have almost similar weightage. In terms of the ratio of Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus of NEET the latter has a higher weightage. The total number of questions asked from the Chemistry section will be 50, out of which 45 questions have to be attempted. The topics carrying high weightage in NEET based on last year's analysis are given in the table below.

CENTAC conducted the registration process for CENTAC MBBS admission or the NEET counselling from July 5 to July 16, 2025. If it expeted that the merit list will be released by the fourth week of July 2025. The merit list will include the names of the candidates along with their exam details. Only those whose names would be included in the CENTAC NEET 2025 merit list will be considered eligible to participate in the counselling process. However, candidates will be given the opportunity to submit grievances or challenges, after which the final merit list will be released.
