Is negative marking there in the SAT exam pattern?

On the SAT 2024 pattern, negative marking does not exist. Students are not penalised for giving erroneous answers, just like in earlier iterations of the test. Since guessing will not result in a deduction of scores, it is imperative that students attempt all of the questions, even if they are not confident of the answer. The SAT is a timed test, so time management is still crucial, and guessing without justification may affect accuracy and time management. In the earlier version candidates lose marks for every wrong answer, whereas, as per the latest SAT digital exam pattern, there is no negative marking. So, you should try to answer as many questions as you can. There will be no penalty for marking wrong answers or for guessing answers. Thus, the new SAT exam pattern has this benefit of no negative marking or penalising students for not attempting a question. This policy was not there before also and hence, College Board continues to take its policies further by not making any major changes in the already existing rules.
