Established in 1946, The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) is situated in Mysore. NIE Mysore holds recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and attained autonomous status from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, in 2007. Furthermore, the institution has received accreditation from the NAAC. Notably, NIE stands as the second engineering college in Karnataka and the first in Mysore.
