    Yes both the colleges are equally good and have almost similar curriculum. NIELIT Shimla and the GIST (Gyanvani Institute for Skill and Training) Programme for Advancing Computer Education offered by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

    When comparing educational programs or institutions, consider the following factors:

    1. Accreditation and Recognition:NIELIT Shimla is managed and affiliated directly by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. While the GIST Programme is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur.

NIELIT Examination Centres are located across the country. A list of examination centres will be provided to the candidate once they apply for the examination form through online mode. Students can choose a centre of their choice while filling out the online examination application form (OEAF).

When appearing at their respective exam centres for the reporting, the candidates will be required to carry:

  • NIELIT admit card 

  • A valid proof of identity - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Student ID, any Govt. approved photo proof of identity. 

In the absence of the hall ticket and original proof of identity, the candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.

NIELIT examination centres are classified into five zones, i.e., the North Zone, North-East Zone, East Zone, South Zone, and West Zone. NIELIT examination centres are categorised into Primary and Secondary centres. 

The exam will be organised at over 120 NIELIT centres across India. The examination will be organised at all the Primary centres. The exam centres are based on the number of candidates who are taking the exam. Also, it is to be remembered that if a candidate selects one of the secondary centres as the first choice in his/her application form, he/she will be allotted a primary centre as the second choice.
