For the academic year 2024–2025, the average cost of UG courses at NIFT Shillong is roughly INR 3,27,600, while the average cost of UG courses at NIFT Kolkata is INR 3,35,625 annually. Consequently, NIFT Kolkata costs a little bit more than NIFT Shillong.

As per the information available on the official websites of both institutes in the current year, the fee for B.Des at NIFT Kolkata is higher than that at NIFT Shillong. The fee for B.Des at NIFT Kolkata is Rs. 2,00,000 per annum, while the fee for B.Des at NIFT Shillong is Rs. 1,80,000 per annum.
