NIT Delhi is a public/government college which was established in 2010 and is recognised by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The flagship programmes provided by the college are BTech, MTech, and others. The fee is not very high but even if the students find the fee of the college very high, they can apply for the scholarships provided by the college. Some of the scholarships offered by the college are ISHAN UDAY- Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region, Pre Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities, Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities, and others.
