Is NIT silchar any good?
Is the ECE branch is NIT Silchar good ?.or should I take Mining in NIT surathkal?.or drop for one more year?

Dear Aswin,
I can totally understand your dilemma in this case as I have been through the same.
Now, you need understand that there are two important things to consider while seeking admission.
(i) A branch of your choice but from a not so good institute = Not much value.
(ii) A not so demanding

NIT Surathkal is any day good but if you have to choose between ECE & Mining, go with NIT Silchar ECE. As far as prospects are concerned, even IIT students doesn't get good job if they are not good. Do well in ECE & go for NIT Silchar. Dropping a year is not a very good idea. This is my personal vie
