In this academic year, the highest package was 54 LPA and the lowest was aroundNIT Surathkal is one of the best engineering institutes in the country. In 2023, NIRF has ranked it 12 under the 'Engineering' category. NIT Surathkal has increased its intake capacity due to various factors, but it has not impacted the quality of education and the placement opportunities offered at the institute.

The placement rates for the MCA, MBA, and MSc programs were 94.44%, 72.09%, and 54.90% respectively. 87.22% was the overall placement rate attained. BTech students have access to the maximum package offered by NIT Surathkal, which was valued at INR 54.75 LPA altogether. Additionally, during NUT Surathkal placements in 2023, the average package offered to BTech and M.Tech students was INR 18.26 LPA and 12.64 LPA, respectively.
