Is North Bengal University as good as Siliguri Institute of Technology?

<p>A very good college for those who want to study in Siliguri and get a good package. Placements: In 2022, the highest package was 32LPA which was offered to a CSE student of 2023 pass-out.The college was affiliated to University of Calcutta till 1962. Currently it is affiliated to University of North Bengal.The university also serves as the affiliating body for 50 colleges across Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, and Uttar Dinajpur districts.</p>

<p>Siliguri Institute of Technology&nbsp; was established in the year 1999 and has always been the most reformative college in Darjeeling. The college provides various courses in different fields including lateral programs. However, the most popular courses in this institution are B.Tech, BHM, BBA, MBA, BCA, and MCA. Apart from these programs, the Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT) is specialised in the field of engineering and management. SIT accepts entrance examinations for the admission in the programs like B.Tech, MCA, and MBA. The candidates have to clear the relevant entrance examinations as per the norms followed by WBJEE, JEE Main, MAT, and JEMAT.Almost 60-70% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA. The average salary package offered varies between 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Intel, and Thoughtworks.&nbsp;</p><p>Both institutions are well-regarded in North Bengal, India. The choice between them depends on personal preferences and needs, such as the specific programme one is interested in, the expertise of the faculty, the facilities available on campus, the location, and individual preferences.</p>
