    North Orissa University has a good placement record and can be said to have decent placements but is not one of the top institutions. Here is a brief overview:

    - Total placement rate: 60-70%

    - Best performing branches: Computer Science (80-90%), Electrical (70-80%)

    - Average salary: INR 4-6 lakhs/annum

    - Highest package: INR 10-12 lakhs/annum (in very few cases)

    - Regular recruiters: Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, Oracle

     

    In this aspect, NOU is comparable to other universities in the state but does not measure up to standards of placement in years at the following institutions in the state of Odisha:
