    No, the NTSE is not held for class eight. To appear in this exam, you have to be in class 10. The eligibility criteria to appear in the NTSE are as follows:
    1. You need to be in class 10 at any recognised private or government school.
    2. For stage one, there is no other age or score-based criteria.
    3. The only criteria for stage one is that open and distance learning students must not be employed.
    4. To appear in Stage 2, you must have qualified for Stage 1.
    5. You need to have scored 60% in your class 9th to appear in stage 2, which is conducted at the national level.

    NTSE is only held for class 10 and the exam is conducted in 2 stages. Class 8 students are not eligible for NTSE exam.
