1) Undergraduate Housing
Undergraduate students at Stony Brook University have several options for accommodation. There are three styles of housing including Corridor Style, Suite Style and Apartment Living Units.
Corridor Style Housing (Mendelsohn, H and Roosevelt Quads) are communities of approximately 36-40 residents living in double or single bedrooms along a hallway, sharing a common bath and shower area
Suite Style Housing (Tabler, Roth and Kelly Quads), are residence halls with two-three bedrooms clustered around a shared common room and a bathroom
Apartment Style and Suites are available for junior and senior students in the West Apartments, Chávez Hall, and Tubman Hall
2) Gender Inclusive Housing
Gender Inclusive Housing allows students of any gender identity to live together.
3) Graduate and Family Housing
On-campus apartments are available for graduate students, families, married and domestic couples and graduate Health Science Center students. Schomburg Apartments and West Apartments are located on the West Campus and provide four to six single bedroom apartments with shared bathroom and kitchen spaces. Chapin Apartments are situated on the East Campus and has apartments suited for individual graduate students in shared apartments, as well as for married couples, domestic partnerships, and families.
