Is online M.Tech degree valid in India?

<p><strong>The clear answer is no.</strong> An online M.Tech degree is considered invalid in India. It is not approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC because of a variety of reasons. One important reason is zero practical exposure. Technical programs like M.Tech are meant for the professional world which demands technical expertise and advanced skills which is not completely possible in the online mode. Secondly, there is no lab assistance possible in online M.Tech programs, making it less valuable than regular face-to-face M.Tech programs.</p><p><strong>But, working professionals can surely opt for these to hone their skills and learn something extra along with their regular jobs. Working professionals can also opt for part-time M.Tech courses that are certainly approved by the AICTE and UGC.</strong></p>
