NO, not at all. What happens if a new editing software comes along and becomes the industry standard?

yes. Film editors are at 2 likes. Just like the difference between graphic designers and DTP operators. For the higher level you need good theory and concepts. So just doing a software would only prepare you for the lower level. If you do film studies only then you can expect to grow well. Wish you
